You will join our forward-thinking Data, Analytics & Quant Solutions (DAQS) department, working alongside a team of engineers, analysts and quants. Together, you will support a wide range of stakeholders, including Bankers, Regional Directors, Business Controllers, Risk Managers and senior management.

In this role, you will become part of the Finance & Risk Insights (FRI) team. FRI works with financial and risk data to enable the Finance, Risk and Control teams to deliver reliable management information that helps steer the bank.

Using advanced technologies such as Databricks and Microsoft Azure, you will design and optimize data pipelines and information products that drive meaningful improvements in our commercial, financial and risk management processes. Your responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Delta Lake, Databricks DLT and workflows.

• Enable stakeholders to access and leverage data through interactive insights, visualizations, data products and AI-driven applications.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data providers and platform teams to optimize data-driven products and solutions.

• Present and advocate robust data-driven solutions to decision-makers.

• Contribute to innovation by evaluating and applying new technologies, AI capabilities and modern ways of working where they add value.

• You're energized by complex problems, enjoy getting to the root cause of issues, and like working with others to reach lasting solutions.

We are looking for someone with an AI-first and innovation-driven mindset. Someone who thinks beyond traditional dashboards and reporting and is constantly exploring the best ways to make insights accessible to stakeholders. You actively follow developments in AI, continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and products, and are not afraid to challenge the status quo when better solutions are available.

In addition, you have:

• A Master's degree in a relevant field.

• Between 0 and 3 years of practical experience in data modelling, data engineering and developing insights for end users.

• Experience in making data accessible through dashboards, visualizations, analytical applications or other interactive information products.

• Affinity with Private Banking and investment products.

• A solid understanding of cloud technologies, including serverless and scalable solutions.

• Proficiency in Python, Databricks, T-SQL and Microsoft Azure.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with, and a demonstrated interest in, a variety of AI technologies, frameworks and libraries.

• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

Preferred qualifications

It is a plus if you hold one or more of the following certifications:

• Databricks Data Engineer certifications.

• Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).

• Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203).

• Microsoft Azure Data Scientist Associate (DP-100).

• T-SQL (DP-080 Advanced).

• Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I).

• Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or comparable experience with data visualization and analytics tools.

As a Data Engineer, you can expect:

• A gross monthly salary between €3,784 and €5,676, depending on your knowledge and experience.

• A flexible budget of 19.47% of your gross salary (including a 13th month, 8% holiday allowance and seven additional statutory leave days). You can use this budget for benefits such as purchasing a bicycle, a gym membership or saving for a sabbatical. Alternatively, you can choose to receive the full amount during the year.
